Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an indirect tax levied on the supply of goods and services in India. It replaced multiple central and state taxes in 2017 and has 4 main slabs: 5%, 12%, 18% and 28%.

What is the GST rate on LIC premiums?
LIC endowment and money-back plans attract 4.5% GST in year 1 and 2.25% from year 2 onwards. LIC term plans (pure protection) attract 18% GST.
